We've now reached that time of the year when we say goodbye to the old year and herald the dawn of a new one, and indeed, this year, a new decade. These are extraordinary times, our world and our civilisation is in a state of flux, and it appears clear to most that in order for life to continue to be sustainable for us and future generations, we need to make some changes to how we live. The move towards eating a plant-based diet is one example of this change in behaviour, and it's already clear from the amount of media print and radio and TV debate that hundreds of thousands of people across the UK will be participating in Veganuary, where they will commit to a plant based diet and eliminate meat, eggs and dairy for the entire month of January.
We are delighted to be part of the plant-based movement and we have both reaped the benefits of eating a wholefood plant-based diet in terms of our own health, which has improved significantly since we started to eat this way. However, in order for this type of diet to be sustainable and to work for us in the long term, it's important to get it right. Being vegan does not necessarily translate into eating healthily, and as with any chosen diet, it's important to ensure you are getting all the requisite nutrients and the right balance to maintain good health. We have made it our business to know this, and our aim is to inspire others to eat delicious, healthy plant-based food that will become the cornerstone of every meal they ever wish to eat in future.
We hope you will stay with us into this new year and new decade. We'd love to interact with you on our Facebook page; let us inspire one another!
